Mikko Sinervo

Mikko Sinervo (1982) is an architect and a part-time graphic designer and illustrator. He graduated in 2008 from the Helsinki University of Technology and has ever since worked in the field of hospital design. Sinervo’s projects include a wide range of healthcare buildings from entirely new facilities to renovated units.

Sinervo is currently a partner and art director at Architect Group Reino Koivula, Inc. Sinervo focuses on creating stories for each project – he believes a proper narrative will give any building character and soul. The story also gives all designers involved something tangible to work on. Recently Sinervo brought to life a state-of-the-art Women and Children’s Hospital in the City of Turku, Finland. In this hospital the story is centered around the characteristic archipelago of the Turku region and all life and adventure surrounding it.

Mikko Sinervo lives in Espoo with his wife, two kids, cat and a dog.
