Andy Vernon
Andy Vernon is Sector Director of Healthcare for Hoare Lea and has worked on a broad range of healthcare projects over the past 30 years from refurbishment programmes to large scale PFI, in Mental Health and Acute Care and for both NHS and Private Providers.
Andy enjoys the engineering challenges that the Health Sector provides us, in what is a constantly changing sector. He counts the NHS’s pioneering Proton Beam Therapy Centre at The Christie in Manchester as an example of true collaboration between NHS and Industry.
Andy has a strong customer focus and has helped manage cost, innovation and sustainability to deliver more than £750m of healthcare projects to date. For the past 7 years Andy has been the MEP lead for the NHS ProCure Frameworks - Efficiency & Productivity Programme Initiative, developing repeatable room designs and standard components that has helped to deliver £13.78m of savings to date.
