CHP was created to drive the NHS Local Improvement Finance Trust Programme (NHS LIFT), which was established in 2001 to deliver public-private partnership (PPP) schemes and improve primary and community-care estate.

Partnership working is at the heart of everything we do and we are working with partners across all sectors to improve services on the ground. We have delivered 339 healthcare developments, from new builds to revamping and maximising existing estate.

We thrive on innovation. Our innovation programme is improving how we work internally, and how we provide the best possible service for clients and get maximum value for money. This programme has created One London LIFT, which works as a single gateway to LIFT companies for London stakeholders. It has also delivered a mobile-first strategy for company communications and is developing a PassivHaus approach to construction, with improved building design to reduce lifecycle costs.
