Birger is head of project strategies at the buildings and property department in South Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority.

A trained architect, he has spent the last 30 years working on hospital projects on the owner’s/client’s side, both at the strategic level and as project manager for larger hospital construction projects. Among the projects he has worked on are the new radiation therapy department and the new research building at the Norwegian Radium Hospital.

Birger represents the regional health authority on the boards of several construction projects, and represents Norway on the board of the European Health Property Network.
